Cryotag TV ad

This was a healthcare TV spot I developed and scripted. The product was Cryotag, a way of freezing those little bobbly bits of skin that can hang off your neck, back or shoulders - or skin tags, to give them their medical term. We needed to develop an idea that would cut through in what was a low-interest, high inertia market, so created a suitably annoying animated skin tag to vocalise the self-conscious concerns of our potential customers. And because we were working on an incredibly cheap budget, we couldn’t afford talent to portray our skin tag. So guess who ended up doing the voiceover?

The ad ran on the SKY Adsmart platform and recorded some of the most positive feedback of any ad run on the channel, with SKY’s research concluding that “The campaign has had a significant impact on awareness of and familiarity with Cryotag. Perceptions of the product also see significant increases with ‘safe, fast, effective’ and ‘the professional way to remove skin tags at home’ significantly higher for AdSmart exposed group.’ Most notably, it bumped the product from 5th to 4th place in its sector for purchase consideration.
